04/06/2004 Writers Festival screens Kiely film
A screening of a documentary about the life of Irish author Benedict Kiely is one of a number of film-based events which will take place at the Dublin Writers Festival.
'Wordweaver: The Legend of Benedict Kiely' will be shown at the Project in East Essex Street on Thursday 17 June at 5pm with tickets €6 to €8. The film's director, Roger Hudson, will take part in a Q&A session after the screening.
A series of video screenings, entitled 'Virtual Readings', will also be shown at the Project from 17-19 June and features authors and poets, including Allen Ginsberg, Eavan Boland and Yehuda Amichai, discussing their work.
American publisher and author Lawrence Ferlinghetti will read from and discuss his work with Rattlebag host Myles Dungan at UCG Cinemas, Parnell Street on Sunday 20 June at 4.30pm; tickets are priced €8 to €10.
