Peter Webber to direct next Hannibal film
Peter Webber, who directed Girl with a Pearl Earring, is to direct the Hannibal Lecter prequel Behind the Mask.
According to Variety, the Thomas Harris novel Behind the Mask is due out next autumn and the author will also write the script for the film.
Producer, Dino De Laurentiis said that Behind the Mask is a revenge story that shows why Lecter became a cannibal.
A search will begin now for three young actors to play Lecter as different stages in his early life. Filming locations are also been looked at in France, the Czech Republic and Lithuania.
