07/09/2004 Bridges, Gilliam for Tideland adaptation
Jeff Bridges is to reunite with director Terry Gilliam for his new movie, an adaptation of Mitch Cullin's novel Tideland.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film tells the story of a young girl who creates a fantasy world to escape the pain of her father's death.
The cast also includes nine-year-old newcomer Jodelle Ferland, Jennifer Tilly, Janet McTeer and Brendan Fletcher.
Bridges and Gilliam previously worked together on 1991's Oscar-winning The Fisher King.
