Purcell, Thompson for readers' and writers' day

Deirdre Purcell and Kate Thompson are among the writers who will participate in tomorrow's Dublin City Libraries' readers' and writers' day, Reader, I Married Him.

Other top female Irish writers that are involved include Sarah Webb, Sheila O'Flanagan, Colette Caddle, Anita Notaro, Martina Devlin, Claudia Carroll, Roisin Meaney and Catherine Daly.

Topics will include authors talking about their favourite books, authors in conversation, debut authors talking about how they write and how they got published as well as discussion about the modern fiction market.

Bibliofemme's DJ will also be on hand to talk about setting up a bookclub and Bibliofemme itself.

Reader, I Married Him will take place at the Dublin City Library and Archive, 138 -144 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 on Saturday 9 October from 10am to 3.30pm.
