10/05/2004 Scott eyed for McCarthy adaptation
It is reported that Ridley Scott has been approached to direct an adaptation of author Cormac McCarthy's acclaimed novel 'Blood Meridian'.
The Hollywood Reporter says that scriptwriter William Monahan is in talks about bringing the book to the big screen.
Scott and Monahan are currently working together on two movies: the now-filming epic 'Kingdom of Heaven' and 'Tripoli'.
'Blood Meridian' tells the story of a young boy in the 1840s who joins a gang that is trying to remove Indians from the Mexican border area.
