Nick Hornby has been given a writer's writer award at the Orange Word International Writers Season.
The London Award 2003 was given to the novelist after the other writers who took part in the season - including Doris Lessing, Germaine Greer and Zadie Smith - voted him their favourite.
Hornby was presented with a first edition of Charles Dickens's 'David Copperfield' at an award ceremony in London's Century Club.
His books include 'High Fidelity', 'About A Boy' and 'How To Be Good'.
