11/05/2004 Fincher linked to Fitzgerald movie
It is reported that 'Panic Room' director David Fincher is expected to helm 'Benjamin Button', a film based on an F Scott Fitzgerald short story.
Variety reports that the film is based on Fitzgerald's 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', and tells the story of a 50-year-old man who starts ageing backwards and the problems he faces after falling in love with a woman of 30.
Since 2002's 'Panic Room', Fincher has been linked with a number of movies, including 'Mission: Impossible 3', now being directed by Joe Carnahan ('Narc').
Fincher is currently working as executive producer on the skateboard film 'The Lords of Dogtown'.
