De Niro, Scorsese pen joint memoir
Robert De Niro and director Martin Scorsese are writing a joint memoir about their 30-year friendship and work together on eight films.
The book is due to be published next year and has already been sold to publishers in England, Germany, Holland and Israel.
In a statement about his collaboration with De Niro Scorsese said: "We came from the same New York neighbourhood but hung out on different streets."
"We can finish each other's sentences and understand things that are not said," Scorsese continued.
"It's like a professional marriage, and the offspring are the movies."
