16/08/2004 James Gandolfini to play Hemingway
'The Sopranos' star James Gandolfini is to play Ernest Hemingway in an as-yet-untitled film, which is due to begin shooting in January.
Variety reports that the film tells the story of the romance between Hemingway and war reporter Martha Gellhorn and takes place between 1936 and 1945.
Barbara Turner, whose credits include 'The Company' and 'Pollock', will write the script.
When Gandolfini completes the film he will begin shooting the final series of 'The Sopranos' in April.
