JK Rowling hints at Potter secrets

JK Rowling
JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, gave some hints as to how the books might progress at a public reading in Scotland yesterday.

She told a group of 500 fans that her hero will "survive to book seven" but refused to confirm whether he will grow up to be a wizard

Rowling also revealed that there are two questions she has never been asked about the books that she thinks she should have been asked.

"The first is, why didn't Voldemort die? Not why did Harry live. Because the killing curse rebounded. "So why didn't he? You should be wondering what he did to make sure he didn't die."

The second question that fans should think about was why didn't Dumbledore try to kill Voldemort when they had their showdown in 'The Order of the Phoenix'?

Rowling further teased the audience over whether Hermione and Ron would ever get together by the end of the series.

She said: "I'm not going to say. I can't say. I think I've given quite a lot of clues by now on this subject. You are going to have to read between the lines on that one."

Despite her recently announced pregnancy, Rowling has promised that she will deliver the sixth book - 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' - on time.
