17/09/2004 Doyle to speak at London's Orange Word Festival
Dublin novelist and Booker Prize winner Roddy Doyle will participate in the Orange Word Literary Festival in London this October
Launched in 2001, the Orange Word season runs weekly events over a three-month period at the Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly. Each talk lasts for an hour, with a question and answer session and book-signing.
Doyle, who will launch his new book 'Oh, Play That Thing' at the festival, is part of a line-up that includes fellow Booker winner
Yann Martel, Nobel laureate VS Naipaul, Whitbread winner Mark Haddon and Booker favourite David Mitchell.
Other authors that will participate are Graydon Carter, Tony Wilson, John Pilger, Alan Rusbridger,
Greg Dyke, Maurice Saatchi, Clive James, David Baddiel, Jon Snow, Rory Bremner and Terry Pratchett.
