Little Women musical for Broadway
A musical of Louisa May Alcott's children's classic Little Women will next month in the US.
The Broadway production is directed by Susan H. Schulman and begins next month at the Virginia Theatre in New York City.
The book, written in 1868, tells the tale of four sisters living during the American Civil War and became an instant classic.
It has been adapted for the stage by Allan Knee and stars Sutton Foster as Jo and Maureen McGovern as Marmee.
A new print edition of the book will be published by Random House to coincide with the production. It will feature the Broadway logo on the cover and an introduction by Susan Cheever.
