BBC to launch new book programme
The BBC is to launch a new book programme following on from the success of its Big Read.
The morning programme, called Page Turners, will be presented by former Newsnight presenter Jeremy Vine.
The programme is expected to showcase current releases from a wide range of fiction. The format will include an appearance by a celebrity who will get to select a book and champion it on the show.
The book club type show follows on from Richard & Judy's bookclub on their Channel 4 show which has had a huge impact on readership and book sales in Britain.
