27/02/2004 Marvel gets directors to pen X-Men
Directors Joss Whedon and Bryan Singer are in final talks with Marvel Comics about writing issues of 'X-Men' comics. The Hollywood Reporter says that Whedon, the creator of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel', will write for 'Astonishing X-Men', the first issue of which is due out in May.
Singer, who directed both 'X-Men' films, will work on 'Ultimate X-Men' with 'X2: X-Men United' scriptwriters Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. It is reported that Singer's role will primarily be that of an overseer, but he will also write some issues.
