30/09/2004 Bisto award-winner for Children's Book Fest
Aubrey Flegg, the winner of this year's Bisto Children's Book of the Year award, is to take part in the 2004 Children's Book Festival.
Flegg took the prestigious prize for his book 'Wings Over Delft'.
The Festival, which will take place from 13 to 31 October, is an annual national celebration of books and reading for young people, Now in its 14th year, the Festival will have over 500 events taking place across Ireland.
Other authors taking part include Kate Thompson, Siobhan Parkinson, Gerard Whelan, Alan Titley and Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick as well as established favourites like Tom McCaughren, Orla Melling, Marita Conlon-McKenna, Mary Arrigan and Don Conroy.
Frank Cottrell Boyce, the screen-writer of 24 Hour Party People and Welcome to Sarajevo, is just one of the new voices participating as well as two new Irish writers - Oisin McGann and Conor Kostick.
