New audio photography book launches this week
A new book of photographs taken in Finnish Lapland of the Aurora Borealis will be launched in Dublin, this Thursday 2nd December.
The photographs appear in a new book, Auroral Synapse, by Dublin-based artist Anna Hill.
Designed by Dave Torpie, the book contains an audio CD of the soundtrack from the installation including field recordings made in Lapland by the artist. A song composed by reknowned Irish composer and seán-nos singer Iarla O'Lionaird also features on the CD.
Paul Johnson of the Arts Council Ireland will launch the event at 6pm at the Imagenow Gallery, 17a New Bride Street, Dublin 8.
