Prison diaries of Son of Sam killer to be published
The prison writings of David Berkowitz, otherwise known as the Son of Sam killer, are to be published in September, according to Associated Press.
Berkowitz terrorised New York City in the late 1970s and is now serving six 25-years-to-life sentences for killing six people and wounding another seven.
He shot his victims with a .44 caliber revolver, usually while they sat in cars.
The president of Morning Star Communications, said that his company will publish Berkowitz's diaries because it is "a testimony to the Christian faith and to how God can change a person.''
In Son of Hope: The Prison Journals of David Berkowitz, Volume 1, Berkowitz "discusses how poor choices led to the horrific murders he committed, and how he eventually became a Christian."
The relatives of his victims are horrified, branding the book "disgusting.''
