07/06/2005 Clinton's autobiography wins audiobook award
Bill Clinton won the Audiobook of the Year award this weekend from the Audio Publishers Association. The audiobook was narrated by President Bill Clinton and published by Random House. The same title won a Grammy for best spoken-word album in February.
A special Judges' Award for language learning titles was awarded to Instant Immersion Hawaiian, by Kaliko Beamer-Trapp and Kiele Akana Gooch and published by Topics Entertainment.
Other winners include Bob Dylan Chronicles: Volume One by Bob Dylan, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry & Ridley Pearson, The World According to Mr. Rogers by Fred Rogers, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, The Darling, by Russell Banks, The Story of Classical Music by Darren Henley.
The judges were responsible for reviewing 550 audiobooks submitted for consideration. All titles submitted were released between November 1, 2003 and October 31, 2004.
