Jackman to star in Disney adaptation of Ahern book

Walt Disney Pictures has acquired the rights to Cecelia Ahern's third novel If You Could See Me Now and is set to turn it into a musical vehicle for Hugh Jackman.

According to Variety, Jackman will play the imaginary friend of a lonely 6-year-old boy who is being raised by his aunt.

When the aunt suddenly begins to see the imaginary friend too, a romance blossoms between them.

If You Could See Me Now is due for release in Ireland this November, in the UK in December and in January 2006 in the US.
