BBC bookclub shortlist announced
The BBC has announced the shortlist of its hugely anticipated TV bookclub, Pageturners.
The first programme will air next month and will be presented by former Newsnight presenter Jeremy Vine.
Each show willl examine three books from the shortlist which will be put forward by a celebrity or writer.
Over 300 books were initially submitted for the shortlist which now runs to 24 books.
