08/03/2005 Shortlist announced for IMPAC Award
The shortlist for the 10th Annual International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2005 was announced today. The IMPAC award offers the world's largest literary prize (€100,000) for a single work of fiction.
Dublin Lord Mayor, Michael Conaghan announced the ten titles that were selected from a longlist of 147. The longlist was nominated by 185 libraries from 129 cities in 51 countries; 29 titles were in translation and the list includes works from 15 non-English languages.
The Winner will be announced on 15th June 2005, in City Hall, Dublin.
