Linklater to direct Fast Food Nation
Richard Linklater, the director of films including Dazed and Confused, Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, has been slated to direct an adaptation of Eric Schlosser's bestselling non-fiction book Fast Food Nation.
The book examines the fast food industry from a variety of angles including business, culture and the international impact.
As Fast Food Nation doesn't have a narrative, Linklater faces a challenge in turning this broad-based expose into a cohesive film.
Catalina Sandino Moreno, Oscar-nominated for her performance in Maria Full of Grace, will star in the film and shooting is due to begin in the autumn.
