10/05/2005 Heller book headed for big screen
Zoe Heller's acclaimed book Notes on a Scandal is big screen bound.
Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Judi Dench are to star, with Blanchett playing the art teacher, Sheba Hart, who has a relationship with one of her 15 year old students. Dench will play Hart's older colleague, Barbara Covett.
Variety reports that the screenplay for the film has been written by Patrick Marber, who penned the screenplay for Closer and the film will be directed by Richard Eyre, who directed Iris.
Filming is set to begin on the 13th August.
