11/01/2005 Singer Tori Amos to publish book
American singer Tori Amos is to publish her first book next month.
The book, entitled Piece by Piece, is not a biography but offers an insight into the private and professional life of a musician who has been very guarded about her privacy in the past. It examines her life and how she combines it with being a very public performing musician.
The book is co-written with journalist Ann Powers and will be published by Broadway Books, a division of Random House. It hits bookshops in the US on February 8th, with an Irish release date planned soon after.
Piece by Piece will be published to coincide with the release of a new album, The Beekeeper, which features vintage organs, Afro-Cuban drums and Gospel choirs.
Mulitple Grammy winner Amos has sold 12 million records worldwide to date.
