Row over Black Dahlia auditions
Veteran film producer Brian de Palma has caused a huge row in the US over casting calls for the role of Linda Martin in his film version of James Ellroy's The Black Dahlia
De Palma wants a white girl who is "young and completely comfortable with nudity" for the role which features explicit sex scenes.
This has sparked concern that underage actresses will try out for the role, which requires them to play a 13 year-old Martin.
The big screen version of the film will star Josh Hartnett as cop Bucky Bleichert and feature Scarlett Johansson and Hilary Swank.
De Palma has made classic films like Scarface, Carlito's Way and The Untouchables.
