Crucible playwright dies
Arthur Miller, one of America's best-known dramatists, has died.
He had been ill with cancer but died from heart failure.
Miller's best known works include Death of A Salesman, which won him a Pulitzer Prize in 1949, and The Crucible, a political allegory of the McCarthy witch-hunts of the 1950s.
He was also married to actress Marilyn Monroe for five years. He is survived by his four children Jane, Robert, Daniel and Rebecca, who is married to Irish-based actor Daniel Day-Lewis.
