14/01/2005 Amazon to set up Dublin office
Online book retailer Amazon.com is to set up a new European operations centre in Dublin.
The new Amazon office will provide support for the company's offices all over the globe.
It is set to open before the summer of 2005.
The project aims to create 25 jobs over the next couple of years and Micheál Martin, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment welcomed the decision saying that it strengthens Ireland's position as a competitive location for multinational companies involved in the Internet.
