Richard and Judy reveal books for 2006
Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan have revealed the ten books that will feature in the Book Club on their popular Channel 4 television show in 2006.
Now in its third year, their Book Club has been hugely successful and has been credited with increasing sales of the reviewed books.
The books on the final list all came out last year and were chosen from over 500 titles submitted by publishers.
Celebrity reviewers will discuss the books from 18 January and viewers will then vote for their favourite for the Richard and Judy Book of the Year, which is part of the British Book Awards.
The 2005 winner was Cloud Atlas, by David Mitchell.
Established authors such as Julian Barnes, Michael Connelly and Kate Mosse will compete with newcomers, including Richard Benson and Martin Davies.
A Channel 4 survey found that 1.8m people had bought or read a book they would not have were it not for the Richard and Judy book club.
