Reno confirmed for Da Vinci Code film
French actor Jean Reno is signed up for the film adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown's blockbuster book.
Reno's role is thought to be that of Bezu Fache, the captain of the French Police and he will star opposite Tom Hanks, who plays Harvard professor Robert Langdon.
The film will be directed by Ron Howard - who won a Best Director Oscar for A Beautiful Mind - and is set to go into production this year.
The release date for the film has been set for May 2006.
