19/01/2005 2005 Orange Prize judges announced
The judges for this year's Orange Prize for fiction have been announced.
The panel will be chaired by Jenni Murray who presents BBC Radio's Women's Hour. Joining Murray will be news broadcaster Moira Stewart, comedian and author Jo Brand, theatre director Jude Kelly and novelist Joanne Harris, who wrote Chocolat.
The Orange prize for fiction is the most famous woman-only literary prize in the world and is open to writers from any country writing in the English language.
Last year the prize was won by Andrea Levy for Small Island, which is also the favourite to win this year's Whitbread Book of the Year.
The longlist will be announced on 14 March, with the shortlist announcement following in mid-April. The overall winner - who will receive stg£30,000 - will be revealed at a ceremony on June 7th.
