Dückers marks World Book Day in Cork
German author Tanja Dückers and Cork-born poet and novelist Martina Evans will read together on World Book Day in Cork. The reading will take place in the Marquee on Grand Parade, Cork on Saturday 23 April at 1pm.
Born in Berlin, Dückers' first novel was Spielzone in 1999. She has written poetry in English, Fireman (1996) and in German, Luftpost (2001) and her collection of short stories, Caf Brazil, (2002) has been translated into Turkish.
