The Constant Gardener opens London Film Festival

This year's London Film Festival will open next Wednesday with a gala screening of the film adaptation of John Le Carre's novel, The Constant Gardener.

Set in Kenya, the political and romantic thriller stars Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz.

The film follows a British diplomat, played by Fiennes, in search of the truth behind the brutal murder of his wife (Weisz).

This is the seventh of Le Carre's books to made into films.

The Constant Gardener was directed by Fernando Meirelles, of City of God fame. Meirelles, together with Le Carre, Fiennes and Weisz will appear at the event.
