Bushnell to adapt new book for TV
Candace Bushnell, the author of Sex and the City, is developing a new TV
show based on her latest book.
She has agreed to adapt her new novel Lipstick Jungle into a series for US
television network NBC.
Like Sex and the City, Lipstick Jungle follows the lives of three glamorous
women who live in New York City.
In an interview with Variety, Universal Television executive Katherine Pope
described the women-behaving-badly novel as "a really fun character piece".
Bushnell added: "Sex and the City was about looking for Mr Big and trying to
find him. This is about women trying to become their own Mr Big for
themselves. It's about the new kind of successful career women who we're
seeing on the pages of Fortune magazine."
