Potter sales in US hit 11 million
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the latest book in the JK Rowling series sold more books in its first two weeks as any other author's book in a whole year.
The seventh book in the Potter series won the Best Seller Award for the top-selling book in the year up until August 1st, even though it only went on sale on the 16th July. It has now sold over 11 million copies in the US.
Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, was it's nearest rival which sold over two million books.
Goblet of Fire, the fourth Harry Potter film, will be released in Ireland on the 18th November.
