26/04/2005 Orange launch new prize to celebrate 10th anniversary
To celebrate the 10th year of the Orange Prize for fiction Orange have launched a new prize.
Three writers will compete for the award, the winner of which will be announced on 7th June.
The three shortlisted books are 26a by Diana Evans, Lucky Girls by Nell Freudenberger and How I Live Now by Meg Rossoff.
The winner will receive a cheque for £10,000.
The overall Orange Prize Winner will also be announced on the 7th June. The six shortlisted authors are, Marina Lewycka, Jane Gardam, Joolz Denby, Sheri Holman, Malie Meoy and Lionel Shriver.
