28/04/2005 Oliver Stone to direct new Ellroy film
Oliver Stone is in talks to direct The Night Watch Man, the new crime thriller by James Ellroy.
Ellroy is known for his many books including LA Confidential which was adapted for the big screen and proved a box office hit.
The Night Watch Man tells the story of a disgraced police officer who sets out to rid the force of corruption. Keanu Reeves has been tipped to star.
Spike Lee had been reported to be directing The Night Watch Man, but instead is making Inside Man with Denzel Washington and Clive Owen. Inside Man is an adaptation of the PD James Novel.
Both films are scheduled to start shooting this summer.
