29/03/2005 Havel considers return to literature
Václav Havel, former president of the Czech Republic, is considering a return to his literary career, according to his aide, Jakub Hladik.
Hladik told BBC News that Prague-born Havel - who left office in 2003 following his second term - was planning a two-month leave to study at the Library of Congress in the US.
His aim is to write a play based on Shakespeare's King Lear and also an autobiography.
Havel, who is 68, was already a noted playwright when he became known as a leading figure in 1989's Velvet Revolution, which overthrew the communist government of the time.
His plays include The Memorandum, The Increased Difficulty of Concentration and Temptation.
