Heimat 3 to be screened at Dublin Writers Festival

As part of this year's Dublin Writers Festival, which runs from 16 to 19 June, there will be a screening of a German film called Heimat 3.

Heimat 3, the screenplay of which was co-written by Festival participant Thomas Brussig, is part of the German film series that explored Germany from the end of the war to modern day.

It is described as a tragi-comic film, that tells of the "spirit of renewal of the early 90s, recording what German dreams we began to dream and how they became less and less German and lost themselves instead in global immensity."

Brussig will be reading as part of the Berlin Republic event in Project at 8.30pm on Saturday 18 June alongside other prominent German authors Christoph Hein and Juli Zeh.
