Spiderwick Chronicles to get film adaptation
A big-budget film adaptation of bestselling children's fantasy novels The Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, is currently underway in Montreal.
The film will star Irish actress Sarah Bolger (In America, Stormbreaker) as Mallory Grace with Finding Neverland's Freddie Highmore playing her twin brothers, Jared and Simon.
Other stars that are in talks to join the cast include Mary-Louise Parker, Nick Nolte, Martin Short and Joan Plowright.
In the Mark Waters-directed film the Grace children move to Spiderwick mansion and embark on many adventures.
