More nominations for Brokeback Mountain

Brokeback Mountain
The acclaimed Ang Lee-directed adaptation of E Annie Proulx's Brokeback Mountain has intensified its Oscar chances after appearing in the lists of nominees for two influential US awards.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) announced their nominees for best productions and screenplays of 2005 yesterday.

Brokeback Mountain featured in both lists.

The film also received seven Golden Globe nominations last year and has been highly tipped for Oscar success.

The PGA announces its winners on 22 January, while the WGA hands out its awards on 4 February.
