Peter Pan author for Book Festival
The author of the official sequel to to JM Barrie's Peter Pan, will be attending this year's Children's Book Festival.
Geraldine McCaugrean was chosen by by Peter Pan copyright holders, Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, to write the sequel which is called Peter Pan in Scarlet and will be published on 5th October.
McCaugrean is the author of over 130 books and plays for both adults and children and winner of numerous awards, including the Carnegie Medal and the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year.
She will be appearing at the Children's Book Festival along with fellow authors Darren Shan, Heather Dyer, Korky Paul and David Donohue.
This year the Festival will run from 4th to 28th October, with hundreds of events all across Ireland celebrating children's books.
