Michelle Williams to star in Bronte biopic
Oscar-nominated Brokeback Mountain star Michelle Williams will play the lead character in a forthcoming Charlotte Bronte biopic.
The film, which has the title Bronte, will be written and directed by theatre actress Angela Workman, who last wrote the movie The War Bride.
It will be based on the life of nineteenth century writer Charlotte Bronte , author of Jane Eyre (1847), Shirley (1849), Villette (1853) and The Professor (1857).
Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers is also set to feature in the film, along with Imelda Staunton and Ben Chaplin.
