Bafta nominations for Constant Gardener, Brokeback Mountain
Literary adaptations The Constant Gardener and Brokeback Mountain have been
nominated for numerous Bafta film awards.
The Constant Gardener, which was based on the John le Carré political
thriller, was nominated for ten Baftas.
Brokeback Mountain, directed by Ang Lee and adapted from an E Annie Proulx
short story, received nine nominations.
Both films were nominated in the category of Best Adapted Screenplay as was
fellow novel-based film Pride & Prejudice
The awards ceremony, which will be hosted by Stephen Fry, takes place in
London on 19 February.
