Roberts for adaptation of Leimbach's Daniel Isn't Talking
Pretty Woman star Julia Roberts is in talks to star in a film adaptation of Marti Leimbach's novel Daniel Isn't Talking.
Daniel Isn't Talking is about a couple whose lives are turned upside down when their son is diagnosed with autism.
Leimbach's book Dying Young was adapted for film in 1991 and also starred Roberts.
Stephen Chbosky (Rent) will write the script, and former Paramount president of production Karen Rosenfelt will produce.
Roberts evidentially has an interest in autism. She recently optioned the film rights to Cammie McGovern's book Eye Contact, about a mother and her autistic son.
