Milton's Paradise Lost to be adapted for film

Gardens of Delight by Erica James
Paradise Lost, John Milton's epic poem from 1667 is to be adapted into a live-action feature film.

The poem tells the story of Lucifer's failed rebellion in heaven and his role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace.

Scott Derrickson, who recently directed The Exorcism of Emily Rose, is to helm the Legendary Pictures project.

Thomas Tull of Legendary Pictures says: "Given the gravity of the source material, it's really important to get it right. It will be ready when it's ready."
