Babyshambles' Pete Doherty to publish diaries
The diaries of Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty will be published next year by British publishing house Orion Publishing Group Ltd.
The book will include poems, drawings and lyrics by the musician, with details of his music career, battle with drugs and relationship with model Kate Moss.
"Some of it is very funny, some of it is pretty dark. All of it is incredibly readable," said Ian Preece, Orion Books commissioning editor.
"I've always wanted to have a book published and it's all very exciting for me personally," Doherty said in a statement. "I am very happy ... to share a bookshelf with HG Wells, Ian Rankin and [former British soccer player] Stan Bowles."
