23/01/2004 Tobias Wolff for Dublin reading
American author Tobias Wolff will read from his novel 'Old School' in Trinity College, Dublin on Friday 6 February.
Wolff is the author of three collections of stories and he won the 1984 PEN/Faulkner Award for his novella 'The Barracks Thief'.
His 1989 memoir, 'This Boy's Life', was filmed with Robert De Niro, Ellen Barkin and Leonardo DiCaprio as Tobias Wolff.
He followed this in 1994 by a second memoir about his reluctant stint as an officer in the Special Forces in Vietnam. 'In Pharaoh's Army: Memories of the Lost War' was a finalist for the National Book Award.
'Old School' (to be published by Bloomsbury on 3 February) is his seventh book and first full-length novel.
The reading will take place in Trinity College, Dublin on Friday 6 February at 7pm.
