Tara's Fortune by Geraldine O'Neill  Chick Lit  Irish
(Published by Poolbeg)
3 Stars

Tara Flynn has everything she ever dreamed of, married to her first love Gabriel Fitzgerald she in now mistress of Ballygrace House, and wants for nothing. Having grown up with very little Tara counts her blessings, but after several years of marriage there is still one thing missing, Tara and Gabriel have no children.

Biddy, Tara's childhood friend has left Ballygrace far behind and is the well respected landlady of a boarding house in Stockport, with her considerate husband Fred and two beautiful children, Biddy has come along way since leaving Ballygrace. But Fred is seriously injured in the wrestling ring and soon all that Biddy has taken for granted seems to be falling apart. Biddy reverts to her old ways and her childhood friend Tara is shocked.

As tragedy strikes Tara the old friends cling to each other for support and wonder if life will ever be the same again.

Tara Flynn is a delightful read, the book spans the Irish sea with ease and anyone from Tullamore will delight in the descriptive prose. Well done Geraldine O'Neill. The Techie
